Advocacy is a process of speaking up, and drawing attention to an important issue and directing decision-makers towards a solution. A community’s members are its best advocates; they have first-hand knowledge and experience of the problems being face at the community level.FOO supports community-level advocacy through grassroots education programmes.
The interventions come from a strength-based model in which the assumption is that people are talented, knowledgeable, and capable of helping themselves through hard times as well as quick to recover from hardship.
